Product checks

# A code is not a green light.

Official-looking details deserve a closer look. Start with what they actually record.

The myth

An official drug-directory entry for epitalon means it is approved.

Where the promise meets evidence

The FDA, the US drug agency, uses a National Drug Code to identify a product. The code does not mean approval, as of September 26, 2026.

## Read what the entry describes

The epitalon entries checked on September 28, 2026 described raw powder ingredients, not finished medicines.

Ask for the exact product name. Ask who made it and who would supply it. A code does not answer all those questions.

## Do not skip the research label

In its July 2026 review, the FDA found epitalon products described as being for research use only.

FDA warning letters say a research label cannot erase evidence of marketing a product for human use, as of September 26, 2026.

Those letters state that particular businesses broke the rules. These are claims by the FDA, not court decisions.

If an offer pairs a research label with health promises, ask the doctor to explain the mismatch before going further.

## Check the pharmacy name

For state pharmacy licence searches, the FDA provides links.

The record confirms the pharmacy’s licence. It does not show whether supplying this particular medicine meets the rules.

Ask which pharmacy would make and send the medicine. Check that name in the state’s pharmacy records. Then ask what rule allows it to supply this product. Ask how it checks what is in the medicine.

The code identifies a product; the entry does not establish approval.
